Welcome!
The Gulf Atlantic Yacht Club was founded in 1976 to provide on-going sailing opportunities,
education, and fellowship for its members. Located in North Florida,
Gainesville has many large inland lakes and is ideally centered between
the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The club offers a racing,
cruising, and social schedule, as well as monthly programs on different
aspects of the sport.

Meetings
Meetings are (usually) held on the Third Monday of the Month at NORTHWEST GRILLE, 5115 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville. Dinner begins at 6:30 PM and meeting proper begins at 7:30 PM. Visitors are welcome!--please contact info@gulfatlanticyachtclub.com to confirm the time for the next meeting.
Charley Morgan Visit: August 17th, 2009
Yachtbuilding legend Charley Morgan, co-founder of Morgan Yacht Corporation, was our guest speaker at the GAYC meeting on August 17th. Watch this space for more information.
Recent Activities
The 2009 Annual "Shamrock" Regatta took place on March 28th, 2009 at Crystal Cove Marina.
The club participated in the 2nd Annual Decanter Race with the Rat Island Yacht Club in November, 2008.
The club has sponsored several cruises, including a week long trip to Gasparilla/Captiva Island area.
